Craig's Chocolate Milkfake

One of the biggest problems people have with low-sugar diets is the craving for something sweet, especially things like candy, chocolates, or ice cream. To alleviate this urge, I concocted a shake that satisfies my sweet tooth, yet is agreeable with the diet at the same time.

Ingredients

Instructions

Place all ingredients (except the ice) in a blender. Blend on medium speed until smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender at least once (cocoa powder doesn't always want to mix well).

You should get a thick liquid similar to cream. If you want more of a milkshake consistency, start adding and crushing some ice cubes into the shake until it reaches the thickness you desire.

Comments

The shake contains hardly any sugar at all (only from the banana and the little bit in the milk) and plenty of protein (from milk and egg whites). Bananas are loaded with all sorts of essential vitamins and minerals, and cocoa is good for your heart.

Keep in mind one of these fills your fruit allowance for the day, so adjust the rest of your meals accordingly.
